¡Olé! Drones and the Mexico Border

Could Our U.S. Government be a little more Specific ...

Now that you have informed Illegals, Drug Cartel and the Likes of other Criminal Intent Persons of Interest, of where these Drones are launched from, the altitude in which they fly, distance from our US Borders, also the area they cover of our US Borders, their ability to record/spot specific details...

...why not provide Flight Paths & Aeronautical Maps too, as well as air dropping water, compasses, night vision eye-wear...hmmm Google how about making Night Vision Google Glass, so Violators of the Law & Constitution can record their travels & unlawful deeds too.

Last I checked Unlawful means Illegal.

The comment I really get a kick out of is "The U.S. government now patrols nearly half the Mexican border by drones"

Nearly half ??? as in we the USA have the rest of the Border under control.

As American Citizens we have the Right to

Rights

Responsibilities

  • Freedom to express yourself.
  • Freedom to worship as you wish.
  • Right to a prompt, fair trial by jury.
  • Right to vote in elections for public officials.
  • Right to apply for federal employment requiring U.S. citizenship.
  • Right to run for elected office.
  • Freedom to pursue “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
  • Support and defend the Constitution.
  • Stay informed of the issues affecting your community.
  • Participate in the democratic process.
  • Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws.
  • Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others.
  • Participate in your local community.
  • Pay income and other taxes honestly, and on time, to federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Serve on a jury when called upon.
  • Defend the country if the need should arise.

I like Support and defend the Constitution, which means against all enemies, foreign and domestic...I took this Oath...one of our Duties as a U.S. Citizen...I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same

and

Defend the country if the need should arise, another Duty of a U.S. Citizen
as an American, to bear arms — or participate in civic service — on behalf of the United States and defend it from all enemies both foreign and domestic.

So you can see how some American's can become confused on/of their Part in Protecting Our Nation, along our borders, as more and more people, drugs and weapons enter by other than the Natural Order of Citizenship and of Legal Means.

Big Brother is Watching

Computer Sensors - What is a sensor?

Sensors Seriously ?  on My Computer has Sensors ?  from Who, for What, and Why ?
Windows 7 - Home Premium - Professional - Ultimate - Enterprise - my first thought Microsoft why not just One Operating System version of Windows 7, or maybe 2, Standard & Professional

Since 31 October 2013, Windows 7 is no longer available in retail (except for the Professional edition pre-installed)

Your Computer may have Sensors installed, used by Programs that customize information and services based on your computer's current location, surroundings and more.

Of your surroundings could be information about what is near you as restaurants, service stations and more.

There are different types of Sensors
  • Sensors built in to your computer
  • Sensors connected to your computer by a wired or wireless connection
Examples of sensors include a location sensor, such as a GPS receiver, that can detect your computer's current location.
A light sensor installed on your computer could detect the light in your surroundings, and then adjust the screen brightness to match it.

Programs access information from a sensor once it is installed and enabled on your Computer.  Supposedly you are able to Enable or Disable a Sensor to help prevent Programs and User Accounts from Accessing information from a Sensor.

As some Sensor used by Programs may send personal information over Network Connections.  Which can be Enabled or Disabled only when You  as Administrator are logged in Windows.

Limit Access to other Personal Information regarding other Users of Your Computer by Changing who can access information from a sensor.  Note: You must have at least one sensor installed before you can change user settings for sensors.

With a sensor is enabled, by default, all users and programs on your computer can access information from it.  Some programs could potentially use Personal Information (such as your location) from sensors without permission.  You can limit programs from accessing information from sensors by user account.

To enable or disable a sensor Open Location and Other Sensors by clicking the
button, and then clicking Control Panel.  In the search box, type Sensors, and then click Location and Other Sensors.

Select the check box next to the sensor that you want to enable, or clear the check box to disable the sensor, and then click Apply.

Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Windows 7, Win8, Win 9 ?, what about Win10

Yikes !!!

Microsoft ends retail sales for Windows 8, coincides with end of sales of consumer versions of Windows 7 on new PCs.

No date has yet been set for when sales of Windows 8 via manufacturers will end — and Microsoft has said, it will continue to support the operating system until January 2023.  Windows 8.1 is still available at retail and no date has been set for the end of sales yet.

As of 31 Oct 2014, Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, and Ultimate are no longer be available to buy installed on PCs, according to Microsoft.  Sales of Windows 7 Professional will continue and MS will give a year's notice of the end of sale date Win7 Pro.

Microsoft would love to see PC Users keeping up with Microsoft Windows versions at a faster pace...however some of PC Users, are still using WinXP, and Windows 7, having not made the move.

Windows XP hangs in there with 17.2 percent of PCs connecting to the web

Windows 7, at 53 percent  and Windows 8 and 8.1 together account for 16.8 percent

So what Happened to Windows 9 (code name "Threshold") ?  may be released Spring 2015, but do not hold your breath, as it might be a cover for Windows 10.

Windows 9 will be aimed at desktop users who never wanted the drastic design overhaul of Windows 8.  Desktop users will get their classic Start menu back, popping up in the bottom-left corner instead of taking over the entire screen as it does in Windows 8.

Windows 10 Screen Shots

And if some of Us Users, prefer buying PC's with installed Operating Systems and do not wish the Cloud, what then ?

Of the Windows 7 Users today, we may have until 2020 before Windows 7 becomes obsolete to some degree and unsupported.

Tech Radar on Rumor Control Windows 10

Windows 10 may be the last, meaning no Windows 11, 12, 13, etc., with Windows 10, making the transition from a software licensing model to a cloud computing one.  Thus Users will become Subscribers to Microsoft's Cloud Computing.  This maybe taking place in 2015.

Hackers Abound as the e-Bola of the Internet

Hacker: a person who secretly gets access to a computer system in order to get information, cause damage, etc.

Internet Terrorist: my personal definition of Hackers

Microsoft Windows Flaw Let Russian Hackers Spy On NATO, Report Says

A group of hackers, allegedly from Russia, found a fundamental flaw in Microsoft Windows and exploited it to spy on Western governments, NATO, European energy companies and an academic organization in the United States.

Russian Hackers Collect 1.2 Billion Passwords In A Mega Breach

The New York Times has reported (link is external) the largest known collection of stolen Internet credentials by a Russian crime ring. These hackers reportedly amassed 1.2 billion username and password combinations, and more than 500 million email addresses from 420,000 websites through botnets (computers that have been infected with and controlled by a computer virus). The sites ranged from small sites to larger household names. Many of the targeted sites are still vulnerable.

How Hackers Got Your Passwords for Snapchat and Dropbox

An anonymous hacker claimed to be in possession of 7 million passwords to Dropbox accounts.

While that claim was probably false, it demonstrates the increasingly common way that hackers are using to gain access to your passwords.  The hacker posted around 400 usernames and passwords on anonymous note site Pastebin in a series of "teasers" for the main list.

Nothing is 100% virus infection/hacker proof, except maybe not connecting to the Internet, not using Software, Disks, Thumb drives, importing anything to your Computer, Tablet, Phablet, SmartPhone, PDA, other electronic or mobile devices, etc.

Hackers vs Companies

News Event -

Hackers successfully breached HealthCare.gov, but no consumer information was taken from the health insurance website that serves more than 5 million Americans, the Obama administration disclosed Thursday.

Instead, the hackers installed malicious software that could have been used to launch an attack on other websites from the federal insurance portal.

Health and Human Services spokesman Aaron Albright said the website component that was breached had been used for testing and did not contain consumer information, such as names, birth dates, Social Security numbers and income details.

My Views/Comments:

if you are going to put up a website for People to use in signing up, making purchases, providing personal information for whatever reason & purpose of the site, every employee of the Company, including the web site creators, Security Team, IT/MIS all the way to the Owner / Founder / CEO / President / Vice President...
...and all additional Executive Staff, should have their personal information, credit card numbers, bank account numbers true and verified right along with its Customers who are trusting that Company/Business/Site Managers, Security Team, IT/MIS, etc. with their personal information.
Just a Thought, as the reality is, that is not going to happen. So why do business with them and see how the Market Shares look for that Company/Organization

It is hard being a President

It is hard being a President, it requires a Team of leaders, working for the best interest of Our Great Country.

I will not say it matters either way who voted for President Obama, however we are American's who do not always share the same views, can agree on the same thing, and as we have seen "Many Fingers Pointing" blame on one another or others.

For the People

Over 238 yrs later, with wars, conflicts, issues with immigration, health, our Social Security Program dating back to May 1937, Medicare our nations Social Insurance program since 1966...

...since WWI, many social programs have come about for Veterans, The Poor, 1929 during the Great Depression Workers Compensation Laws came in effect for all but 4 states, 1932, our Government made loans, grants to States to pay direct relief and work relief.  1935 Franklin D Roosevelt's administration proposed to Congress federal social relief and sponsored retirement programs, then came Social Security.

1960, the War on Poverty, 1996 Welfare Reform Act...my point is...we are still a Young Nation and Growing.

Our Nation is made up of Emigrants, and of those naturally who are Native and Born here...our Presidents have been Partying since before 1789, these Parties have been defined as Independent, Federalist, National Union, National Republican, Whig, Democratic-Republican, Democratic and Republican...so our Country has been led by Men of these parties...

Which the Democratic Party have served as president, governing for a total of 85 years, Republican Party have served as president, governing for 88 years in total and Four members of the Democratic-Republican Party have governed for a total of 28 years = 201 years

By The People

So not one Person or Man if you will, has resolved all of America's Issues within Our Own Government that Americans Vote for.

So the past, current and future Presidents will carry this burden in some way or have Americans pointing fingers.

Whether any American like it or not, Barack Obama has been our President for 5 yrs., and had America elected John McCain & Sarah Palin in 2008, and in 2012 Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan
would America be any different ?

19th Amendment August 18, 1920, Women Right to Vote and there are at least 75 million Women of voting age of the 163 million females in America.  So do we point the finger at Women who do not/have not voted since 1921.

Here is a thought, if someone was to wave the Flag saying all Illegal Emigrants in the USA as of 1 August 2014 are American Citizens and have the Right to Vote in 2016.

Whomever is in the Presidency seat be any different on how are Nation would be handled and ran?

Of The People

Who are some of the biggest abusers of not only Social Security, Medicare, Welfare, Workers Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Political Office, or other entities as business or governmental organizations, it is not only the ones wearing a suit & tie, skirt/dress & blouse, in those positions of management, sometimes it is those who cry out the loudest...I am not pointing, just stating a known fact...if the pockets/purse/wallet are heavy, and the shoe fits ?

From what I heard in the media once, is that the British and Chinese own the most land and businesses in America today.

Then we have Our Nations Dept of $14+ Trillion, and it was thought China and Japan, own most of America's $14.3 trillion in government debt, that might not be true.

While the Chinese, Japanese and plenty of other foreigners own substantial amounts, it's really Americans who hold most of America's debt.  America owes foreigners about $4.5 trillion in debt.  But America owes America $9.8 trillion.

While America out-sources to other Countries, are there any Foreign Countries out-sourcing to America.

We cannot afford to keep intervening when things ago array abroad.  Besides the Cost to Taxpayers, there is the affect it has on our Troops, and their Families, also who Vote.

If We the People keep sending Americans into Combat, what Family is wanting to Vote with the chance their Sons/Daughters/Spouses may go into Combat.

Look at the Veteran Administration scandal now, in how Our Veterans are being treated.

If we do not get a handle now on our Borders, will we see the poverty levels of America begin to equal the country in which Emigrants left.  We do not have the jobs, and of the jobs available now and not filled now, why.

With an Exodus (influx) of Emigrants how will this affect our Education System...if most Emigrants from other Countries are illiterate, illiteracy brings on child labor, ignorance can = racism, hatred, create violence, the rise of crime, etc.

Lack of Education leaves those in a vulnerable position, not able to socialize, find jobs, which affect Crime at all Levels, institutionalization & over crowding, and the Cost to the Taxpayer for Care for those incarcerated, and the programs if they were to receive rehabilitation in the form of education and work experience...but they need the social skills as well to be released back into society and not become repeat offenders.  Their families need training and education as well in aiding them to deal with their children of any age being released.

To Be Continued by People

So you can see the domino effect in many areas if our Politicians keep Pointing the Finger, with 4 fingers pointing back at them...and here these
Politicians act like children in the Media, what an example they are setting for all to see and World Wide too.

My Description of our Politicians: they tend to prattle, suck on their finger and point aimlessly at others.  Can the Same Be Said for You

Advertising, Privacy, Security, Trust, Identity Theft we Pay For

We pay for our Internet Service, so we should be able to block out / opt out all Advertising period...especially for all the Websites we visit and do business with through our subscriptions and purchases.

Downloadable programs/apps, which offer you to buy their program in order to opt out from advertisements, no Ads...sure they will get you another way, 3rd party cookies, spyware, adware

How many Internet Users/Shoppers do not like Salespersons to begin with.   We are inundated with Ads on TV, everywhere we go a Sign/Billboard, Newspapers, someone on the street waving a sign 3 Pizza's for #15

The Internet is TOO Busy with Clutter...all vying for the Users Attention, as if we do not know what to buy, or haven't purchased & used products already in our day to day lives.  All the while Costs go up, someone has to pay for the Advertising, its not Free.

Same of downloading Programs/Apps that install Adware, Malware, Annoyances, Tracking Spyware and you are left trying to get rid of it or uninstalling leaves something annoying behind as a reminder.  Cookies you cannot eat, more like the Carrot hoping you use their shopping cart, without a horse.  Or slogans, "The More You Buy The More You Save" and look at all the Security Breeches of these companies Computer systems and theft of Customer Personal Information and Credit Card information....however all the while they want you to Trust Them, your information is safe with us.

How many sites that we visit, will we spend the time Opting out, if that is even an option.

Major Companies, Banks & Financial Institutions, Credit Card companies, Medical & VA, Government on all levels and we the Consumer/Users are paying the price, flipping the bill.  And look at the difficulty to resolve issues, Contact Us by E-Mail, here fill this online form out....a Phone Number to call, so you can listen to a few Recorded Messages or Options 1-9, sometimes 0, Press 1 for we all know what that recorded message is...and "Your Call Maybe Recorded for Training Purposes or to help Us Better to Serve You or Improve Our Service?

How many minutes or hours will it take to resolve an issue, not of our doing on the phone.  You Call will be answered in the order received, your wait time is 5-45 minutes or longer.

We Value Your Service as Customers are important part of our business, our main resource that will make our business succeed or fail.  Customers provide businesses information on the quality of our products and/or services offered.   It is therefore critical to ensure that the business offers Customer Satisfaction.

How Satisfied are we Really, of course Company's Online or in the Mail Surveys, are formatted in away that it never asks the right questions or how you really feel about their product or service.

I wonder if Business Owners, Corporation CEO's, other position titles of high up Administration endure Advertising they do not want, same as the Consumer/Users.

Debate over freeing Sgt. Bergdahl

as a Former Marine, Nam Era Vet & Veteran of the Cold War...a President once said, "No nation can negotiate with terrorists. "Terror must be stopped.  No nation can negotiate with terrorists.  For there is no way to make peace with those whose only goal is death." George W. Bush, Rose Garden April 4, 2002

Whatever the circumstances were the day of Sgt. B. Bergdahl's capture, the fact remains 5 Taliban Terrorists Mohammad Fazl, Khairullah Khairkhwa, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Norullah Noori, and Mohammad Nabi Omari.   A Taliban army chief of staff, a Taliban deputy minister of intelligence, a former Taliban interior minister, and two other senior Taliban figures...were released in exchange for Sgt. B. Bergdahl.

My biggest concern is that this will jeopardize the lives of Americans, whether in Uniform or Not, as the decision to deal with Terrorist, sends the message America will trade 5 Terrorist for One American.  A Bounty has been placed on American's.

I would like to know how the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) a body of senior uniformed leaders of the Dept. of Defense, who advise our Secretary of Defense, Homeland Security Council, National Security Council and the President of the United States on military matters, would allow this Exchange...and

...that Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told The Associated Press as criticism mounted in Congress about releasing five high-level Taliban detainees in exchange for Bergdahl.  The Army might still pursue an investigation, Dempsey said, and those results could conceivably lead to desertion or other charges.

So now turn the Spotlight on Sgt. B. Bergdahl, to skirt around the fact the US President & those who backed the decision to deal with Terrorists, is a slap in every American's face, including Our Veteran's, Active Military, the families of American's who have fought and died for Our Freedom.

and President B. Obama, military service ?

What will be the ramifications of this act in trading high-level Terrorist detainees, who are now in Qatar, whose government has promised to restrict their movements for one year.  Something else hard to swallow or believe.

Will American's look upon it as an act of treason by our own Government.  That the President may have violated laws in place to notify Congress 30 days before any prisoners are transferred from the detention center at Guantanamo Bay.

And of the Military Active Duty serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, or overseas affect their Mission, themselves Personally (morale & ethics), or even those who were thinking of joining Our Armed Forces, this act in deciding to make the exchange and in carrying it out...hurts deeply and the price American's may pay as a result.

A look at the Past = the Future my thoughts

Law cannot go about shooting tires out, always in the right position to toss out spikes, do the PIT, at the opportune time...and I have always thought of ways to disable a vehicle on the Officer's terms.  I even thought of a joust or harpoon type device (like toggle/molly bolt) that mounts on Police Cruiser and can be extended into the vehicle of pursuit from any side, deploying its barbs, and the Cruiser begins to brake or plant a small explosive device to disable the vehicle.

Problem, is it safe at the time of deployment to occupants or bystanders, other vehicles on the road, and if the vehicle is larger and out weighs the Cruiser.  A CHIP stopped a Semi coming down the Grapevine once, and he just braked his Cruiser to stop the Semi...almost ideal situation, and not a pursuit.
Most all vehicles have Spark Plugs, rotary cap, electrical ignition, some with electrical fuel pumps...so something to disrupt the flow of current.

Just as Fire can be put out with sound.  The US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) extinguishes burning fuel by trapping it in an acoustic field generated by surrounding speakers.

Usually the problem is Funding, approval and in the wrong hands can turn the tide on Police vehicles or any responding Emergency Vehicle.

Same in the world of Space, Satellites, Star Wars...whose to say something already in space launched by another country, has the ability to ram, laser or other means of disabling a crucial Satellite as used in Global Positioning.

People use to laugh at Flash Gordon, dates back to the 1930s on the radio, then movies & TV...same of Spy shows & Movies way before your time, dates back to 1914, 1928 Spione, and Alfred Hitchcock's spy films in the 1930s with his influential thrillers "The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934)" imagination becomes a reality.

I love learning about Modern Warfare...there will never be World Peace, Go Where No Man has Dared to Go Before...is a reality and it will spill over into Space travel, habitations on another planet.

Many fear/feared Robots taking over, which some robots already has replace workers of monotonous & repetitive tasks....I worked the labor fields outside of Fresno in the 1960's...eventually migrant workers will be a thing of the past...and the main reason others enter the USA is for work, a better way of life or because they are on the run or possibly criminals.

With Population growth, eventually we will run out of farm and ranch lands. Who will pick/harvest and what crops, or grow/raise meat & slaughter.

We cannot possibly keep up with the growth of vehicles on the highways no matter their source of energy.

Sure we have Cars that fly, oh sure then we have midair collisions like accidents on the ground.  Raining down on who

If we have no fuel, what happens to our Aircraft, Ships, Trains/Rail, Military vehicles, etc.  I am sure this will hamper World Trade.  We need resources, which cannot last forever.

When was the last time you saw an Electric American Airlines flying overhead almost quiet.  Or an Electric Aircraft Carrier, Submarine, Destroyer, sure there is Nuclear, put one of those in an Airline, yeah right.

8 days for the Sun rays to reach Earth and then one day we see the Sun go out or explode.  Or maybe it happens after the Sunsets at 2 a.m.

Visionaries: having or showing clear ideas about what should happen or be done in the future, of or relating to something that is seen or imagined in a dream or vision, able or likely to see, etc.

Shakespeare said in the 1600's "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players"

I acclaim on this day, "The Whole World is a Game Board, We do not know who are the Players, moving the Pieces, or their Intent win or lose.  We have no choice in the side we are on."

The World is full of surprises, this concept is nothing new...look at the progress of this nation since the Industrial Revolution, in relation & time it took to reach this day.

I look at myself as a Realist, Idealist, and a Visionary, without Money or years left to make a difference.

I thought I had designed the perpetual motion car...and I still believe it...however, without money to build my idea, test it, etc...it remains a Dream...also it has moving parts, nothing is or lasts forever.

And another idea of mine is Aircraft Modules/Compartmentalized for Airlines, that are assembled with their own means of descent, survival equipment, be it over land or water...however it would be like a Jet Fighter with ejection seat, when all indications are and the Pilot or Co-Pilot hear "Eject Eject Eject" then it will be initiated....but it comes down to cost effectiveness...

....and who is in what compartment at the time of catapulting your section to safety.  Will you be with the one you want?

And if your Section fails to catapult/eject, ah Human Error is to blame.

Back to the drawing board....it might have worked for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH-370, however if it was Pilot Sabotage, who can you trust....Doctor Over Here, help me.

the Not too Distant Past, Present & Future - Technology

Circles, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, YouToo and however many more Social Media sites there are, way too much, too confusing...like in the days of IM/Instant Messaging a type of online chat 80's-90's, with PowWow, ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, CompuServe, Yahoo IM, ICeeYou, CU-SeeMe, you had to join/subscribe to several to be able to talk either by typing or voice.

Allow others to join in, so you could chat with 2 or more people at once.  Then select Invisible, as if others saw you online, then they wanted to chat, you had 2 or 3 Chat/IM's open at once connected by a 56K modem or less 14.4 baud modem.  Then came software to connect your Chat/IM's within one program.

I go back before AOL, CompuServ, Genie, Prodigy, Tripod with Usernets & BBS, when with e-mail you could not write someone on AOL unless you were a subscriber.  I was on Prodigy in 1984, also the first service to offer the "Home Page" html.

Then came Friendster, MySpace, Facebook...Blog Early, Blog Often (BeBo)

the Computer having been around for so many years before the above evolution was to save time and paper...how funny is that.  And I believe the Computer was also that of Organization, for your files, documents, pictures, music, videos, etc.

People wanted Computers to do what they wanted, when they themselves did not know...as the Computer was to do the thinking for you, was Smart and should know everything.  Only became very Frustrating, those still trying to figure out the Remote Control or use the Microwave.

Pencil with eraser, Paper, Ink Pen, Tape Recorder were aids used in School.  Folders and File Cabinets, which probably every business still uses...hard drives smaller and smaller holding more, the Thumb Drive with no moving parts, Wireless computing, Laptops, Notebooks, SmartPhones, iPods, iPhone, etc.

1/3 of the world possibly uses the Internet

Today...the Glass, Face Recognition, Security Cameras everywhere, monitor your Home from Work, track your children & family, your car, someone's phone...so we become the snoop, spy, eavesdropper, Googling everything and everyone.

NSI (National Security Institute), NSA (National Security Agency) and so the World is made up of Spies, to watch secretly, to search or look for intensively, be alert,    watchful, observant, attentive, of your surroundings...vigilant to avoid danger.

Even our Cars are now driving Computers, equipped with WiFi, rolling Wi-Fi hot spots connected to the Internet, in-car technology, that is to improve driver awareness and reduce distractions, alert you of road conditions ahead or the closest restaurant, filling station (fuel or electricity), so your Vehicle comes with a Media Package, Touch Screen, Voice commands...wait there is the Vehicle that drives itself and parks, just sit back and socialize.

People will not be asking how fast your car will go in 60 sec., or how many Horsepower are under the Hood...it will be What Can Your Car Do, that Mine Cannot...no more Radio, CD/Tape Player, Cigarette Lighter, but On-board Computer-ing, factory-installed GPS systems, HUD (Heads Up Display), Touch Screen, WiFi, USB Ports, Applications, Memory, Data Transfer Rate.

Android on Steroids, I doubt you will find Microsoft Windows OS in your vehicles computer system.   Mechanic asks the Owner, what is your problem...I think my Car has a Virus, on the Heads Up Display shows "Not Responding", Re-Boots and then shows Operating System Not Found.

Cruise Control was something of the future at one time...cars that fly, or are amphibious, so what is the next invention, way of life....the 3D Printer, make your own Heart out of your own cells...maybe cloning that child you wanted.

Caution: Toys for Pets

Caution: Toys for Pets, we have purchased many different type toys for our Dogs over the years, Kong seems to be the only real toy to hold up in weather and in the mouths of our Dogs, as compared to other toys that may label as Durable, Indestructible, Invincible and picture a Pet playing with/using the Toy.

One such toy was the JW Pet Company "Invincible Chains" - that pictured a Dalmatian on the packaging - part of their description "Suitable for medium, large and giant breed dogs, Seamless Rings, no glue, Solid natural resilient rubber Tug, toss, fetch and chew toy, Long-lasting dog toy"...our previous Acacia Embers a Dalmatian, pulverized part of this 3 Ring toy into little pieces in no time, creating several choking hazards for your dog, other pets and possibly Children.

JW’s solid rubber toys are made of durable, tough, natural rubber that’s made especially for the powerful chewers.  So, let them sink their teeth into a JW toy and make them happy."

Recently for our Border Collies, we purchased the "Oddball" their product description, "Our design process incorporates the highest quality safe materials into each of our toys.

this product made in China, distributed by Delca Corp.

Note om the product's packaging (for similar description as above), information about  the manufacture, where the toy was made/produced, keep the labeling of toys for reference in the event of an emergency.

Maintain current numbers to an Emergency Veterinarian and Pet Hospital on hand.

Suggestion: I scan all Medical/Adoption/Ownership documentation and store on my computer and SmartPhone for reference in an emergency situation, vaccinations, tag number, Microchip info, also current pictures of my pets, in the event your pet goes missing...

...You may not always be at home with your pet, so if traveling with your pet, it is nice to have this information with you at all times.

I have written in the past JW Pet Company
, and did not receive a favorable response, so we no longer buy any of their 125 patents pet-focused ideas.

Caution-Warning: Pets should not be left unsupervised while playing with manufactured toys/pet products.  Remove toy from your Pet immediately, if any pert becomes loose or detached.

Which is almost impossible to be monitoring/watching your pet 24/7.  Spay/Neuter, Keep Pets on a leash in public, in a Fenced Yard or Indoors, making your home Pet Safe as possible, they are your Children & Responsibility.

Never leave a Pet or Child, same of a Person not able to care for themselves unattended in a vehicle, no matter the weather and always check around your vehicle before moving your vehicle for Pets or Children.

Windows XP PC's aren't as secure as...

...they it used to be

If you continue to use Windows XP without XP support, your computer may still work but will become vulnerable to security risks and viruses.

And as more software and hardware manufacturers continue to optimize for more recent versions of Windows, a greater number of programs and devices like cameras and printers won’t work with Windows XP.

You can try to upgrade your Windows XP machine to the new Windows for $199. Due to the age of your computer, consider all the details.

Windows 8.1 brings you the Windows Store, Start screen, and Microsoft account, but also enhancements in personalization, search, Store apps, and cloud connectivity—and the security and reliability features you expect from Windows.

Keywords: "security and reliability features you expect from Windows"

My response since beginning with Windows 3.0, I am still waiting for the security and reliability from Microsoft.

Driving in America vs War since 2001

In 2011, more than 3,300 people died in crashes involving distracted driving, add to those numbers killed by drunk or impaired drivers each year on an average of 30 American people a day = over 10,900 each year...

In 2010, 10,228 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (31%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States.

Of the 1,210 traffic deaths among children ages 0 to 14 years in 2010, 211 (17%) involved an alcohol-impaired driver.

Of the 211 child passengers ages 14 and younger who died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in 2010, over half (131) were riding in the vehicle with the alcohol-impaired driver.

In 2010, over 1.4 million drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.  That's one percent of the 112 million self-reported episodes of alcohol-impaired driving among U.S. adults each year.

Drugs other than alcohol (e.g., marijuana and cocaine) are involved in about 18% of motor vehicle driver deaths. These other drugs are often used in combination with alcohol.

American's raise more than an eyebrow at (not being insensitive) the number of US Troops killed in Iraq or Afghanistan since 2001, which number just over 7,000.  So we can see by these stats, War is Safer than Driving on our American Roads.

Sesame Stairs for Disabled

Good Idea...the Sesame Stairs  / Allgood Trio Sesame Steps

The questions or problems I have & wonder about....would be inclement weather as with snow & ice, how will Sesame Stairs/steps work, or in the event of a power failure, are the Sesame Stairs connected to generator power.  And the argument would become, do not go out in the snow & ice.

In the event of Fire or Emergency Evacuation...ramps are nicer, yes they take up more room which might be less expensive, but for this building in the video would impose on sidewalk space, and if you are not in a motorized chair, would be more difficult to ascend/descend.  I am sure there are alternatives.

Other issues with not being ambulatory, using walker or wheelchair, in the event of a Fire Alarm, elevators are design to go to the ground floor, building occupants are to use the stairs.

Human Behavior in building emergency evacuation, the perception of hazards can stress crowds, evoke their competitive behaviors, trigger disorder thus blocking passage ways, exits as we have seen/heard about i.e. Nightclubs, Sporting events, etc.

The disabled with walkers or wheelchairs or others with less mobile disabilities can become a problem, as with those rushing to an exit tend to bottle neck, cause trampling, and blocking egress.

The ambulatory might not be helpful, others might not see an obstacle ahead and continue to press forward.

Even using an Evacuation Chair in the event those are trampled or crushed are not able to get out under their own power, the chair requires more than one person to aid with the chair & egress down or up
stairs.

I know the above is beyond the ingress / egress of a building for the disabled using the Sesame Stairs/Steps...however those capable of normal ingress / egress also can benefit from this knowledge & education.

Training for all that is similar that Fire Fighters perform without hoses, equipment, gear worn/used, would be useful in emergency situations.

This training would be useful for those becoming Disorientated & Confused, along with fear or stress, could save their/your life.
