Glad the pilot is okay, but maybe he/she should give up flying!  left me to think and respond with the following...

Just think of what the Future Holds, as the Population Expands, so does Travel, Ground or Air...the need for more roads, even if everyone drove an electric vehicle...still more vehicles needing space no matter their Collision avoidance system aka Pre-crash System, forward collision warning system, or collision mitigation system.

Then you have more and more People wanting to Fly...be it Commercially, Private Aircraft, (requires bigger or more airports) or what about Drones overhead making deliveries...what goes up must come down.  Food or Packages dropping from the Sky, someone taking shots at objects flying overhead.  Worried about Porch Pirates R Ya Matey!?

More People mean more Structures to Live in, More Schools, Bigger & More Medical Facilities, More Parks ?, what about Mall's why go shopping...have it delivered by Ground or Air, less traffic on the road and less pollution...what about the Price of Gasoline Petrol and what if tomorrow no more fossil fuel or the likes to fuel Aircraft, Trains, Buses, Vehicles, Boats, Vehicle Sales and the already umpteen million vehicles sitting on streets, driveways, back yards, auto-wreaking locations and the Car & Truck lots 4 Sale, Lease Rent, Towing and Repair Stores or Travel Trailers or Motor-homes & RV's...Quads, ATC's, Jet Ski's etc. 

When you need more concrete & asphalt, for roads or airports comes needing more land, same of structures needed, less land for farming, live stock, ranching, need more Chicken Coops and there is a matter of more Humans breathing Co2 is exhaled.  "Carbon dioxide gas, or CO2, is everywhere on Earth, including inside your body.  About 1 percent of the atmosphere consists of CO2, which doesn't sound like much...but is enough to serve as a de facto blanket and help retain heat." contributes to Global Warming, frozen water & snow begin to melt, the ocean, lakes, streams & rivers levels begin to rise, as the climate temps rise...now we need air conditioning.

But what is the Air Conditioner to Run on ?  All of the Vehicles...do they require fuel or electricity...needing more alternate energy sources as with Solar Power, Wind Power and Sea Power.    If we cannot keep up to the demand, then deliveries are not made, less and less travel of the friendly skies.

Population continues to grow, more in some countries that do not have planned parenthood programs, tend to out number other countries who do.  Think of all the Research Centers in finding cures for Disease...what becomes of CDC Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ?

Those who cannot take the warming affect, disease, pass over the bridge, need land to bury or more crematories...and we need Water to survive as well as food.

Without the Fuel, I never heard of a Rocket, Missile, Shuttle making it to Space that is fueled by electricity/batteries.  And those waiting on the Space Station for Supplies...or Our Earth's Satellites providing GPS Global Positioning System, originally NAVSTAR GPS, is a satellite-based radio-navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Air Force.

What depends on GPS.

If Police, Fire & Medical Response has Electric Vehicles, hopefully they will be able to handle the Fire, a Heart Attack, a Fall, administer the upmost care, and protection from the walk by shooter, burglar, home invasion, robbery, kidnapping and there is the murder scene. 

History has seen Homes without running water, electricity or bathrooms, to outhouses, gas lights, a light bulb, the use of incinerators for out garbage...brings a nice smell to the neighborhood.  Electricity, Telephone Poles & Wire, the Telegraph, modern you crank phones ringy dingy, operators, radio, cars, trucks, motorcycles, planes, phones, television, we have walkie talkies, blast off Man in Space and Satellites for everything.

Why wonder what is in outer-space, or if there is life on another planet...you are not going to see it, unless it is through one powerful telescope...provide you can afford one...no more space travel to taking millions of years to get that planet whats there...I would think we would of heard from Aliens by now.

How Bright is Earth's Future

Thoughts of My Day: With the push towards Solar Energy, the demand for Electric Vehicles, every thing we use requiring electricity or a battery...is anyone working on Energy from the Cold/Freezing Temperatures?

Reason being, Nothing Lasts Forever, our Solar System is 4.568 billion years old and if the Earth's Sun was to go dim or burn out...it will be an Eternal Winter.  As it takes approximately 8.3 minutes for the Sun's rays/light to reach Earth.

A solar system is a star and all of the objects that travel around it—planets, moons, asteroids, comets and meteoroids.  Most stars host their own planets, so there are likely tens of billions of other solar systems in the Milky Way galaxy alone.

So finding a new Solar System, with a Inhabitable Planet "One Size Fits All" needs to be found, if the Human Race is to continue, and what will they do for Food, Energy, Warmth or Cooling, Medical Needs...living on a Space Craft, or in a Space Station or on a Planet that does not Support Life, nor does it have Water, with No where or place to go, as to the Store, for a Hike, Visit the Mountains, Beach, driving Cross no country, remaining suspended in Space...indefinitely ?

If there is no Earth, what Make & Model of a "Human Space Habitat Station" (HSHS) or "Human Space Habitat Craft" (HSHC) will you be on/in.  Will there be enough Robots to perform tasks, fly the HSHC, repairs from outside the HSHC or HSHS ?

Where are Support Vehicles with Food, Water and Fuel (whatever the fuel source is).  There will be No Industry to make & manufacture products to build with, no steel, iron, aluminum, alloys, plastic, glass, etc.  For those who pass on, no rainbow, out the craft door they go, no place to bury, or a crematory aboard.

In the Event you happen to be aware of the Earth's demise in advance and you want to or have to leave the Earth, what do you take of yours with you ?  Most likely the clothes on your back, and toss the SmartPhone, no Communication towers in Space, will there be an Internet, so what do you do with your Tablet, Laptop or Desktop.

What about all of the Satellites Orbiting Earth, who is on Earth to Receive and Process the Information that of the Satellites Purpose/Function, why it was launched in the first place.

Who Goes First, most likely the Most Educated and Experienced, I cannot say what will become of those behind bars, in prison camps, if you are over 65, no medicare, nor social security, no building walls in space, get your own planet.

What good will Money, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Gemstones, Minerals, jewelry be...no longer will you be able to say to "Earth and Beyond" or "Houston We Have a Problem"

If Earth was to self-destruct i.e. Big Bang Theory Two...think of all that will become projectiles flying weightless through the voids of space, smacking into other matter, littering other planets, stars, asteroids, plugging up a Black Hole, or funneling through one to where is unknown.   Maybe Movie Writers & Makers can come up with something to Give Us a Visual.  Using Expert Scientist, Mathematical Experts, those who Deal with Space, Earth's changes, Astronauts every day for Validity and Continuity of the movie.

My Question to Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Burt Rutan, the Bill Gates & Paul Allen's of the world...what does the Future Look Like ?

Maybe Donald J. Trump will be able to afford flying off Earth for places unknown, will he take his family too...or stay on Earth in Greenland, putt, tee off and wait for the End, thank goodness for no re-election.

I am No Visionary, I do have many thoughts about the Facts that tell the Story of the Future.

What Goes Up Must Come Down, unless launched into Outer-Space (physical universe beyond the earth's atmosphere).  The Kármán line, an altitude of 100 km (62 mi) above sea level, is conventionally used as the start of outer space in space treaties and for aerospace records keeping.

Who is Selling North Korea Missiles ?

Depending where N, Korea's Launch site are located, these missiles have and can travel with a trajectory of over 2300 mi, altitude of 1310 mi, flying over Japan into the Pacific Ocean, or if they fall short Sea of Japan or onto Japan.


Question: Would you want Cape Canaveral/Kennedy launching over your Home ?

USA's Minuteman missile is a technological wonder.  Designed to launch at a moment's notice, it is capable of achieving speeds exceeding fifteen thousand miles per hour (15,000 mph) and then striking its target half a world away.  Range of the Minuteman 1 is 5,500 nautical miles or 10,186 km or 6329 mi.

Though created to deter war, its destructive capabilities exceeded anything known to previous generations.

Question: is N. Korea developing a Missile defense system, consisting of a weapon, or technology involved in the detection, tracking, interception, and destruction of attacking missiles ?

Disposal of waste materials by burial, is the oldest form of waste treatment.

Historically, Landfills are the most common means of disposing solid waste which is either buried or left to pile in heaps.  Landfill is a common phenomenon around the world, especially due to the increased number of wastes from our homes, schools, offices, hospitals, and markets. 

Not mentioned here, are liquid waste, paints, fuels, solvents, chemicals, human/animal waste, etc.  Bleach and Ammonia can generate toxic gases that can greatly impact the air quality within the landfill vicinity. 

When it rains, rain water filters through a Landfill, contaminating Ground water pollution.  The primary environmental problem arising because of landfills is groundwater contamination from leaches.  There are several hazardous wastes that find way into the landfills and once they are there, the inevitable is the natural deterioration of ground water.

Because most of these waste materials are non-biodegradable, they heap in the landfills where they stay for years.

A huge percentage of these landfill toxins infiltrate the soil to reach the fresh water waterways, which eventually end up in the domestic water and sadly enough, the foods that we consume.  The pollution can also adversely harm animal and plant life.  Research reveals that 82% of landfills have leaks.

Agricultural wastes arise from waste materials generated from animal manure, crop, and farm remains. The solid wastes like the animal manure and other agricultural by products are collected and dumped in the landfills.

Industrial processes, construction activities and power plants produce a wide range of solid byproducts and residues.  The predominant waste products are generated from oil refineries, power plants, construction works, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural product producers.  The solid wastes usually find way to the landfills.

Air pollution and atmospheric effects from more than ten toxic gases emitted from landfills, of which methane gas is the most serious.  Methane gas is naturally produced during the process of organic matter decay.  

U.S.A. EPA records that the methane expelled during the decomposition of organic matter in un-managed landfills has the potential of trapping solar radiation 20 times more effective than carbon dioxide.

Landfills increases in the risk of severe health implications.

Landfills directly render the soil and land where it is located unusable.  It also destroys the adjacent soil and land area because the toxic chemicals spread over the surrounding soil with time. 

The upper layer of the soil is damaged, distorting soil fertility and activity and affecting plant life.

Methane is notably the most flammable and combustible gas in the landfill and as such, given its abundant supply it can create havoc.

With the increase of population and urban growth, the demand for manufactured products and materials increases.  As the demand increases, so does the increase of solid wastes.

Think of the Entire Earth and its Population Growth, the Earth at 7.7 Billion People, not counting Livestock, Animals Wild or Domestic, all produce Methane Gas.

Many of the 7.7 Billion do not have toilets, outhouses, or landfills, recycling, trash pick up and disposal.  Many are without Food & Water.

Why The Race for Space ? because the Earth is Becoming too Populated, On A Course of Self-Destruction, Another Big Bang Theory in the making ?

Agriculture was the key development in the rise of sedentary human civilization, whereby farming of domesticated species created food surpluses that enabled people to live anywhere.

Given the High Cost of Medical anything Health Plan, Insurance, Prescription Pharmaceuticals, Treatment, Care...which How Many American's can afford, thus missing out on Life Saving Prescription Drugs and Die...is this a form of Population Reduction in Progress.  

I bet those in Pharmaceutical Sales, Distribution, and Manufacturing can afford.  Those who work for Medical Insurance & Pharmaceutical Companies do they have great Health Plans and can afford all of the Medications many of Us cannot afford.

For only $ ?? Billion... Trump now says his Border Wall could cost as little as $15 billion, and pay for itself.  The price tag could be even less, the president said in comments that came as Congress negotiates over a year-end spending bill.

I Guess Mexico, will not be paying for the Trump Wall.  Now President Trump is impressing on America in blaming criminal gangs and “vast quantities of illegal drugs” for “thousands of deaths”, described the situation at the border with Mexico as a humanitarian crisis and argued that the current immigration system allows “vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs” to prey on immigrants, especially women and children.


Trump’s arguments often rely on inaccurate or dated statistics and lack important context about the situation at the border, which, as always, is complicated.

"Just Say No" The 80s Crack Epidemic - President Ronald Reagan took office in 1981, he vowed to crack down on substance abuse and re-prioritize the War on Drugs


In 1983, the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, Daryl Gates, and the Los Angeles Unified School District started the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program.

The Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 was a law of the War on Drugs passed by the U.S. Congress.  Among other things, they changed the system of federal supervised release from a rehabilitative system into a punitive system.


In 2001, the Surgeon General of the United States, Dr. David Satcher, put D.A.R.E in the category of “ineffective primary prevention programs.”



Our own CIA engaged in Drug Smuggling 

CIA involvement in trafficking is usually alleged to be connected to the Contra war in Nicaragua during the Reagan Administration.

During the Korean War, the first allegations of CIA drug trafficking surfaced after 1949, stemming from a deal whereby arms were supplied to Chiang Kai-shek's defeated generals in exchange for intelligence.

Later in the same region, while the CIA was sponsoring a "Secret War" in Laos from 1961 to 1975, it was openly accused of trafficking heroin in the area then known as the Golden Triangle



ATF  "Operation Fast and Furious"


Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), along with other partners, allowed illegal gun sales in order to track the sellers and purchasers, who were believed to be connected to Mexican drug cartels.


During the Fast and Furious investigation, nearly 2,000 firearms were illegally purchased for $1.5 million, according to a DOJ inspector General report. Hundreds of guns were later recovered in the United States and Mexico.

2009

October 26. Department of Justice officials meet to discuss the problem of mounting violence in Mexico. They decide to change strategy, aiming to eliminate gun-trafficking pipelines. There is no mention of “gunwalking” during the meeting.

November. The operation is launched. It is designed and run by the ATF Phoenix field office.

In a gunwalking operation, guns bought by straw purchasers, individuals in America with clean records, for drug cartels are allowed to “walk” across the border into Mexico, instead of being seized by ATF agents.

The stated aim is for ATF agents to follow the paths of guns from straw purchasers through middlemen and into the hierarchy of the powerful Sinaloa drug cartel.  

The tracked weapons are to be used as evidence to pin larger crimes against the cartel as they work to break it up or at least eliminate the gun-trafficking routes.  According to whistle-blowers and investigators, however, agents never made the attempt to actually trace the guns.

2010

January. Agents with the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, a multi-agency network run by the Justice Department, are brought in to help. The manpower includes investigators from the Homeland Security Department, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The operation is soon named “Fast and Furious” by field agents because some suspects operate out of an auto-repair shop and street-race.


March. Some ATF agents are concerned that weapons distributed through gunwalking might be used for crimes in Mexico or even the United States.

October. The brother of the former state attorney general of Chihuahua, Mexico, is killed. The ATF learns that Fast and Furious weapons were found at the scene.

December 14. U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry is killed in a firefight while on patrol.  The ATF would determine that two of the guns involved in the shooting came from Fast and Furious.  The operation continues another six weeks.

Soon after Terry’s death, ATF agents speak with Senator Charles Grassley (R., Iowa), the ranking minority member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, to seek his help in stopping the operation.


2011

The Global Commission on Drug Policy released a report on June 2, 2011, alleging that "The War On Drugs Has Failed."  The commissioned was made up of 22 self-appointed members including a number of prominent international politicians and writers. U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin also released the first ever National Prevention Strategy
